Bandera, Texas, June 12-20

We had a great time with Don and Carma on the trip to Bandera, Texas. We went to the LBJ presidential library/museum in Austin and his ranch at Stonewall. We also saw his childhood home in Johnson City. We shopped a bit at antique stores and outlet malls. The deer were plentiful but the weather was really pretty hot. The days were hot but the nights were quite nice. We often cooked breakfast in the condo and then ate out during the day while we were out doing stuff. We went to Blanco to the Lavendar Festival and also to the Old Tunnel Wildlife Management Area to see the bats come out-that was spectacular. We also attended a small Dude Ranch rodeo and got to see a Stone Henge replica that is only 2/3 the size of the original. We returned home to tall grass and other chores, but it is nice to be back in our own bed.
